Schedule of Activities
| 2:30 | Arrival /Orientation | Arrive at Flying W Ranch. Orientation, snacks, soft drinks, coffee. Explore the grounds and meet great people. Shop with local Vendors and Artisans. Ride in a horse drawn wagon. Take a short horseback ride through the unburnt prairie. (Horseback ride is $25/pp.) |
| 4:30 | Daytime Burn | Big grass and big fire! Guests have the opportunity to light and manage the fire. An experience you will never forget. |
| 6:00 | Steak Dinner / Tallgrass Express Concert |
Dinner prepared by chef, Josh Hoy, of the Flying W Ranch and served from an authentic 1880’s chuck wagon. The menu will consist of appetizers and a main meal that is made with local, fresh ingredients. A local band will perform bluegrass, folk, and some original music. |
| 8:00 | Nighttime Burn | Create long lines of fire which snake across acres of Flint Hills prairie. You get to light and manage the fire or observe and take pictures. You’ll never forget the smoky silhouettes of fences, trees and friends backlit by the orange glow. |
| 9:00 | Campfire Concert | Last chance for all of us singers, foot tappers, and hand clappers to enjoy a few more songs with the Tallgrass Express. |
